In 2019, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV won the Green Car Journal’s award for the Green SUV of the Year. For 2020, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is one of the finalists for the Family Green Car of the Year™ award.
The Family Green Car of the Year™ award is bestowed upon a versatile, family-friendly vehicle that boasts eco-friendly attributes. This prestigious award aims to highlight new, environmentally conscious vehicles that feature low emissions and electrified technology.
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV itself combines a 2.0-liter MIVEC engine with twin electric motors, offering a 22-mile all-electric driving range and a whopping combined EPA estimated 74 mpg-e.* This mean the plug-in hybrid offers you the option of a clean commute.
The 2020 Outlander PHEV only uses gasoline when required. When you need a little more power, like driving up a hill, or cruising down the highway, an integrated clutch in the front axle switches to one of the hybrid modes— EV mode, Series Hybrid Mode, and Parallel Hybrid Mode. Each mode uses a different variation of the MIVEC and twin batteries, offering drivers peak performance in all conditions.
Like all of Mitsubishi’s rides, the Outlander PHEV is backed by a 10-year/10,000-mile powertrain warranty. If you’d like to check out the Outlander PHEV, you can take it for a spin at Larry Jay Mitsubishi.
