Authentic Mexican food may very well be near the top of every foodie’s list of favorites. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in North Carolina, you will want to take a road trip to a little grocery store in Kernersville, located between Greensboro and Winston-Salem. Aside from selling fresh Mexican ingredients, the store — called Los Potros Meat Market and Taqueria — makes the best tacos in North Carolina inside its taqueria. We dare you to visit the store and not get tacos while you’re there. It can’t be done!
What makes this little store so perfect? It has such a wide selection of authentic Mexican food in the taqueria and authentic ingredients in the actual market. And the taqueria sells more than just tacos. For example, just in time for fall, Los Potros offers a scrumptious bowl of soup. Even more exciting, the store is home to so many delicious Mexican spices that you won’t find in your run-of-the-mill grocery store.
If you are ready for a road trip, hop in your Mitsubishi and enter in the address. Los Potros is located at 400 E. Bodenhamer St. in Kernersville. The store is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Stop by Larry Jay Mitsubishi if you’re in need of a new vehicle to transport you to and from taco (and other culinary) destinations.
Are you ready for your daily dose of 90s throwback? The News Wheel recently dipped into the Mitsubishi vault of old ads and resurrected these classic Mitsubishi commercials from the 1990s. Be ready for a nostalgic drive down memory lane in your 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
- This 1990 Eclipse GS commercial is the oldest on the watch list today. Funnily enough, the ad foreshadows the 2017 eclipse that we celebrated in August of last year. But back in 1990, it was nearly 30 years away. Watch the clip here.
- The 1992 Eclipse ad features a 1991 Mitsubishi 3000 GT alongside the 1992 Eclipse and “Dueling Banjos.” Watch the clip here.
- The 1995 Eclipse commercial gets a little weird when it pokes fun at an old man and his broken down truck, passed unhelpfully by a wicked fast 1995 Eclipse Cross with 210 horsepower. Watch the clip here.
- The 1999 Eclipse ad is the first of this series, not star the same narrator. Instead, we are made to read the words, “You still have your youth. Get our and misspend some of it,” which seems to imply we should do that in the 1999 Eclipse. Watch the clip here.
As great as the 90s were, however, the current decade definitely has its own exciting advantages — like the new 2019 lineup of Mitsubishi models. Take one for a test drive when you visit us at Larry Jay Mitsubishi.
