Mitsubishi is on a good run right now. After having one of their best years ever in 2015, thanks to the success of the Outlander and Outlander Sport, the company is optimistic as they look towards the new year. Mitsubishi US sales are predicted to reach the company’s goals of 100,000 units sold during the course of 2016. And armed with a new sales strategy and compact direction, Mitsubishi fully intends to accomplish those numbers.
When Mitsubishi says the company is on track to continue its current momentum, it means it. In the year of 2015, the brand’s numbers were up 23 percent, selling 95,342 units. The company has to raise those numbers by less than 5,000 units in order to achieve the goal of 100,000. With company goals now focusing on revamping Mitsubishi’s entire lineup to include more crossovers and less of anything else, and with crossovers trending as the industry’s most popular segment, Mitsubishi is poised to demolish the goals it has set so far.
Within the next four years, Mitsubishi plans on releasing five either entirely new or completely redesigned vehicles. Four of them are going to be crossovers, while three of them will all belong to the Outlander nameplate, including everything from the anticipated Outlander PHEV to a redesigned Outlander and Outlander Sport. Mitsubishi US sales are sure to rocket with these additions to the company’s already successful lineup.

Mitsubishi was looking fierce in November!
Mitsubishi November sales numbers have been released to the public, and the company continues to enjoy one of its best years yet due to the continued success of the Mitsubishi Outlander and the SUV’s variants. So far in 2015 Mitsubishi Motors has sold over 87,000 units year-to-date, a stark contrast to 2014’s numbers of just over 71,000 within the same time period. That’s a 23 percent increase!
In just November alone, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. has sold 6,722 products – up 3.6 percent from November 2014’s sales numbers. The Outlander shows the biggest leap in sales from the previous year, with an increase of 69.3 percent, or sales of 1,717 units. The Outlander Sport sold even more units in November; the popular SUV saw 2,955 units sold last month.
Mitsubishi’s continued success with their SUVs has caused the company to turn its attention to the SUV segment. Over the next five years, Mitsubishi plans to introduce three new SUVs to the US lineup. Mitsubishi November sales certainly back up this decision, as the company continues to find great success.
