New Years Arts and Crafts Mini Camp
Looking for something to do with your little one while you have a bit of quiet time? On Friday, January 2nd from 9am to 12pm, and Saturday, January 3rd from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, the New Years Arts and Crafts Mini Camp is offering a variety of mixed media projects for kids ages 4 through 14. Registration is $45 per child, and you can get a 10 percent sibling discount. The Mini Camp takes place at Small Hands Big Art on Ardrey Kell Road in Charlotte, and you can register online or by calling 704-246-8271.
Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week
If you’re a foodie, restaurant week is almost more exciting than Christmas itself. The semi-annual Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week takes place January 16th through January 25th, and features more than 100 restaurants offering at least three courses for $30 per person. Check out the website to see which of your favorite metro Charlotte restaurants are participating. Restaurant Week is a popular time, so it’s recommended you make reservations before heading to a restaurant.
Storytime in the Secret Garden
Head to Wing Haven Gardens and Bird Sanctuary on January 20th for a free event for children ages 5 and under! Storytime in the Secret Garden tells the story of Peter Rabbit, and features a walk through bunny paradise. This event occurs monthly, with a different story chosen each month, so make a habit of taking your little one each month in 2015!
